This year’s 5 Mile course takes you through Downtown Cleveland and into historic Ohio City! As you pass Progressive Field, the guardians on the Lorain Bridge will lead you past the Westside Market and over to the Detroit-Superior Bridge as you make your way to the finish line. Both bridges provide challenging uphill grades that will make you earn your Thanksgiving meal!

The 5K course follows the same route as the 5 Mile until you hit Progressive Field. From there runners will turn right to go past Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse and all the exciting renovations into the heart of the Gateway District! The final stretch of the race goes through the Warehouse District to the finish line.

5 Mile/5K Split:

The split will be near the Mile 2 mark at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario by Progressive Field. 5 Milers will continue straight over the Lorain bridge and 5K runners will be turning right, towards Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. We will have signs and volunteers directing all runners so please be aware as you approach that corner.

Want to enjoy the morning with your family and friends before starting your Thanksgiving without breaking too much of a sweat? We offer a brisk 1 Mile run/walk that goes through around the race site. This event will be fun and get you home to begin you holiday!

Pace Chart

We love our walkers! One favor: we ask that they can hold a 15 minute per mile pace. That’s about four miles per hour, or a brisk power-walk. If you fall below this pace, we can unfortunately no longer guarantee course support—which is paramount for your safety. Medical support, portable toilets, and road closures will start to become unavailable to participants. The local police and race organizers will ask you to reroute to a shorter version of the course, or move up onto the sidewalk where you will be required to obey regular traffic laws.
