Trotting Virtually

The Turkey Trot has been a hallmark event in Cleveland since 1982 and a Thanksgiving morning tradition for all of us. Unfortunately, the city of Cleveland is not able to issue us a permit to run this year’s races. After looking at different options to change the race location, we feel it’s best to cancel this year’s in-person race and move to a virtual event. This way participants can still enjoy and celebrate turkey day as a family.

How does a virtual race work?
First, to keep it simple, you can run or walk your race on your own time and on your own course! You’ll have until Monday, November 29th to complete. Once you are done, please email if you want us to include your finish time (optional) to the results section of the race website. Make sure you include which distance to did.

We will have a number of packet pickup options before the holiday so you can have all of your material before turkey day. You may also opt to have your packet mailed for $10. If you register by November 16 and choose this option, we can have your packet to you before Thanksgiving morning! After the 16th, your packet will arrive after Thanksgiving.

Keep checking the website for more information as we move closer to Thanksgiving Day.
