The Dick's Sporting Goods 1-mile fun run begins at 8:45 and the Dick's Sporting Goods 5-mile and Dick's Sporting Goods 5K runs begin at 9:30am.
The race starts at the corner of East 9th St. and Lakeside Ave. in downtown Cleveland.
There are 3 ways to register
-You can register online using this race website.
-You can register by mail. Mail-in registrations must be received by Monday, November 16, 2026. Send completed forms and checks, made out to "Hermes."

The Dick's Sporting Goods 1-mile, 5K, and 5-mile costs are:
Through June 30: $25
July 1 - September 30: $30
October 1 - November 23: $35
November 24 - November 26: $45
Race Day: November 27: $50
Virtual run: $30 at all times through October 31
Family Discount - $23/person through June 30, $28 per person through October 31 and $33 through November 23. Four or more people with the same address are eligible for the family fee. You may register everyone online or mail-in forms must be received in one envelope. Please mail to the Hermes office address listed above along with payment (cash or check).
Yes, Hermes Sports & Events has partnered with RunSignUp.com, who is a leader in online registration. Hermes uses RSU for most races. It is safe and secure and they can guarantee that your information will be safe. There is a small processing fee when registering online.

No, we require individual entry forms for each participant to make sure we have all the information we need for that participant. We will NOT accept two names on one form.
There is no age requirement. All participants must sign the race waiver (if under 18, by a parent/guardian).
Children who will be in a stroller do not need to register unless they want a shirt and medal.
All online registrations will receive confirmation via e-mail. For mail in entries, please list a valid e-mail address for confirmation. For all other registrations, you may contact the office to verify your registration at 216-623-9933.

-MyLaps BibTag timing in the Dick's Sporting Goods 5-Mile and 5K runs (The Cleveland Turkey Trot is an officially timed event using the disposable Bib-Tag timing system. Timing chips are attached directly to the back of your bib number and are to remain adhered for the duration of the event).
All entries are non-refundable. Once we've received and processed your entry, you will not receive a refund, you may not give or sell your race number to other people, and entry fees are not transferable to the next year's race or any other race.
There is a free complimentary option offered by Hermes and can be done anytime prior to the final packet pickup.
This process must be completed through the RunSignUp online transfer platform prior to the final packet pickup.

Runners are NOT allowed to simply give their bib to someone else without following the online transfer process.
If you are found to have given your bib to someone else without following the online transfer steps or communicating with a Hermes staff member, you will be disqualified from future races.
Yes, you can pick up your shirt at our office (2425 W. 11th Street #2, Cleveland, OH 44113) the following week - we do not mail shirts unless otherwise stated. Please call the office ahead of time to let us know you are coming at 216-623-9933.
You are able to self edit your registration through Friday, November 22. Afterwards, please call the office at 216-623-9933 or e-mail roadracing@hermescleveland.com
It is not required but it's always a good idea to bring your confirmation email.

Yes. If you live in the continental U.S., packet mailing is available for $15 through online registration or mail-in registration. The mailing option closes October 31 at midnight. Packet mailing is available for family registrations as well as for an additional $15 per person - for family discount with mailing, registration forms MUST be mailed to Hermes, online family packet mailing is NOT available.
IF AN INCORRECT ADDRESS IS GIVEN WHEN WE SEND THE PACKET, YOU CAN REPLACE THAT PACKET FOR $15

Although race registrations are non-refundable, we understand issues come up.
We now offer a complimentary Participant Event Transfer option through your RunSignUp account.
- This option is FREE and allows a runner to "gift" their race registration to another runner in the event they can no longer attend the race.
- No exchange of payment can be accepted for transfers! You may not sell your bib.
- This can be done online anytime prior to the final packet pickup on Tuesday, November 26.

Even if you can no longer participate, you can still pick up your race swag at packet pickup!!
- Stop in and let us know you can no longer run - we will even have a finisher medal handy for you, to go along with the race shirt.
Similar to a concrt ticket, airplaine ticket or any other live event ticket, refunds are not allowed.
The Dick's Sporting Goods 5-Mile and 5K races are officially timed events using the disposable MyLaps BibTag timing systen. Timing chips are attached directly to the back of your bib number and are to remain adhered for the duration of the event. Bending, creasing, or damaging the tag can affect your ability to get an accurate time so please take care of it prior to the race.
***Please wear your bib on the front of your outer-most layer.
Results will be posted live during the race on our website. Locate the race and click the 'Results' link or on the home page, go to the Race Results tab. You may need to refresh your browser to view.
The results will be posted before noon upon completion of the race.
After the results have been officially posted, please contact roadracing@hermescleveland.com with any concerns.
Awards are available after the race inside Public Hall.
5 Mile and 5K Coffee Mug Awards: Top 5 overall females and males (overall winners also receive a pumpkin pie!), top 3 females and males in the following age groups:
- 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over.
The top female and male in the 1-Mile also each win a pumpkin pie.
All 5K, 5 mile and 1 mile finishers will receive a finisher medal
Parking is available at area lots and adjacent streets. More parking information can be found HERE
You may walk any of the events. However, the police may ask you to move to the sidewalk if you do not finish the race within a certain time for the safety of everyone.
The courses are mostly flat. However, there are decent grades on both bridges on the mile 5 course. For more information, click on the Course Info and Maps tab found HERE.
The route will stay open until 11:30am. Police, at their discretion, will move you to the sidewalk if need be.
There will be one water station for the 5 mile and one water station for the 5K. The 5 Mile water station is on the Lorain Bridge. The 5K water station will be right after the split, by Progressive Field.
No, restrooms are available inside Public Hall and portos will be available near the start/finish line by the Convention Center.
Dogs and strollers are welcome, but please stay to the back of the start area for the safety or the runners. Dogs are NOT allowed inside Public Hall.
All are welcome to check out the Cleveland Turkey Trot's start and finish in downtown Cleveland on Lakeside Avenue. You can be at the different mile markers and water stops as well. Please be cognizant of traffic and the participants as they run/walk, Please listen to police/security instruction as well. We recommend staying at the finish to see your friends and/or loved ones finish under the giant inflatable!
Yes, you can. Please consider keeping the volume low enough to stay aware of your surroundings and any directions or announcements given audibly by race personnel, police, or other runners.
Restrooms are availabke inside Public Hall (first and second floor) and port-o-potties can be found on East Mall Drive.

Yes, bag check will be located inside Public Hall which stays open from 7-11am.
